Hi, I'm Anhad.
Clinical Director · South Asian Therapist
Waitlist
I founded Rahao Therapy to offer warm, relational, and culturally responsive care that looks beneath the surface, not only at symptoms. Rooted in an understanding of South Asian experiences and welcoming people of all backgrounds, our work makes space for culture, family dynamics, identity, and the parts of your story that can be difficult to explain.
In the pause, we make space for what has been carried quietly and what is ready to be heard.
A space where you can begin as you are.
Whether something simply feels off or you have a specific goal in mind, we meet you where you are. Therapy can be a space to look beneath the surface, understand what is shaping your experience, and move toward meaningful change without pressure to have everything figured out.
Therapy at Rahao is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in your pace. Together, we can explore relationships, cultural expectations, earlier experiences, and the patterns that keep you feeling stuck, while building clearer and more intentional ways forward.
Rahao to pause and reflect.
In Gurbani, the sacred hymns of the Sikh tradition, Rahao marks a pause: an invitation to return to the central message and reflect. Rahao Therapy carries that same intention, creating space to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with what matters.
Attachment-based. Root-focused. Slow on purpose.
I'm an attachment therapist. That means the lens I look through, more often than not, is the lens of your earliest relationships: what you learned about safety, closeness, conflict, and your worth long before you had words for any of it.
A lot of therapy stays at the level of skills: CBT, coping strategies, ways to manage the surface. Those skills are useful, and we use them. But we don't stop there. The work I do goes underneath, to the root.
It's slower work. It can feel uncertain. There's no graph showing progress. And in my experience, it's the work that actually changes things.
A few things I hold close.
You set the pace.
No timeline, no right speed. We move at whatever rhythm you can hold.
Trauma is subjective.
Not what happened to you, but what happened inside you as a result.
Cultural fluency isn't a feature.
You never have to translate your family, your faith, or your language here.
Therapy is a lifestyle, not a fix.
You don't stop because you got better. You keep showing up because it helps.
1% better is success.
Lighter, more grounded, more able to feel. That is the work working.
I bring my whole self.
Warm and direct. The therapist behind the desk does not exist here.
What guides our work.
Our therapists draw from attachment-based, trauma-informed, relational, psychodynamic, cognitive, and mindfulness-based approaches.
Rather than following a single formula, we thoughtfully integrate different perspectives around each client's needs, pace, culture, and goals. The approach may vary, but our foundation remains the same: warm, collaborative care that looks beneath the surface and honours the whole person.
Rahao was created with South Asian communities in mind, while warmly welcoming people of all cultures, identities, faiths, and family structures.
In whatever language the feeling comes out.
I work in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Clients often switch mid-session: translating a parent's exact words, naming an emotion that only exists in one language, or just letting it come out the way it wants to. That's welcome here.
The professional details.
Credentials matter. They just aren't the first thing about me.
